This is an opportunity to join the Engineering team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Within the Department of Engineering, there are several opportunities for cross-disciplinary research and we are seeking to appoint a suitable candidate who is an expert in Solid Mechanics and able to teach theoretical and numerical Finite Element Analysis, Structural Analysis, Material behaviour and Engineering Design subjects. Their teaching, research and academic leadership will contribute to our successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The candidate will have an appreciable track record in a related research area that complements the strengths and initiatives of our faculty-wide, active research community and demonstrates alignment to one of our Research Centres in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant subject area; demonstrate competent skills and commitment to research and industry-informed teaching and contribute to the wider school activities for its continued growth. They will have scholarly publications in the subject area and a track record of substantial research funding.
