Full Time position at PING Golf, Arizona, USA PING have an opening for a Patent Engineer, under direct supervision of the Patent Counsel, this employee coordinates and manages activities of the intellectual property portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background to become a trained patent engineer, learning on the job from PING’s experts.

Duties include:
• Establish strong relationships with engineers by participating in brainstorming sessions, product meetings, and engineering meetings.
• Work directly with engineers regarding their inventions, drafting invention disclosures, writing patent applications for golf related and other subject matter created at KMC.
• Work with various departments including sales and engineering to investigate, research, and collect specimen and information for statements and declarations of use, evidence for oppositions and other litigation support.
• Responsible for domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, including authoring original patent filings, responding to administrative notices from patent offices and adaptation of patent applications to meet foreign filing requirements.

Education and/or Experience: Requires a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Biomechanical Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or related field from a properly accredited college or university, plus directly related experience via employment or internships; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree or higher preferred.
