About the role
This position requires an enthusiastic researcher in sport and exercise science, with experience and expertise in biomechanics and movement analysis. A key role of the position will be to assist in the management of an externally-funded research project under the supervision of Dr Kane Middleton and Prof Paul Gastin. The project aims to investigate the relationship between gait variability and injury risk in military recruits.
Skills & Experience
In order to undertake this position the successful candidate will be required to have:
Completion of a PhD or extensive research experience in biomechanics and movement analysis;
A record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential;
Knowledge of, and experience with, movement analysis equipment and associated software (specifically 3D motion capture, force plates, and wearable technology including accelerometers or IMUs);
Knowledge of, and experience with processing and analysing movement analysis data, including preparing these data for presentations and publications.
