The aim of the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) is to create technology-based, product-focused and needs-driven innovations for health with a focus on those that help people move. Following a £14m investment from the UK’s Department of Health, the AWRC will be the most advanced research and development centre for physical activity in the world, providing state-of-the-art, fully instrumented indoor and outdoor laboratories and a team of over 70 researchers delivering collaborative projects.

We are looking for web developer to join our team to assist in the development of bespoke online tools. These will range from bespoke performance monitoring tools for Great Britain’s elite athletes to health screen applications that are used by the wider UK population. You will work in a team of developers/researchers but must also be able to work independently.

The key responsibilities for this role are:
• To perform all aspects of web application service delivery (architecture, development, test, implementation);
• To liaise with clients to iterate the system based on the ever changing requirements of the project; • To configure, maintain and support production databases;
• To develop web APIs for other team member’s projects

You will also need to have: • ability to write web applications using the ASP.NET framework.
• industry experience in web programming.
• excellent communication and organisation skills.

Some experience of using Xamarin to develop mobile apps and experience of performing all aspects of application service delivery (architecture, design, development, test, implementation, etc.) is desirable.
