Interested in becoming an Executive Committee member?

Dear ISEA Members

As you all know, the executive committee (EC) is elected on two-year cycles, and the new executive committee will take office at the next AGM to be held at the 11th Engineering of Sport Conference. The ISEA Constitution states that the executive committee consists of a President, Treasurer, Secretary, Past President and three to nine members at large and one student member. To be eligible for consideration, you must be an ISEA member in the years in which you are in office.

As Past President, Kim Blair is collecting a list of candidates to stand for election. If you are interested in being considered, please let him know. Likewise, if you know of someone that would be a great member of the EC, please either send along his/her name, or encourage him/her to contact Kim.

For the elected officers, a minimum of two candidates will stand for each office for the election. For the at large members, the nine with the most votes will be elected. (A person can run both for an officer and an at large position.) We do have term limits for both officers and members at large, so check with Kim if you are not sure of your eligibility.

Traditionally, the sports industry has been under represented on the EC relative to academia, so I do hope that those of you who are in industry will consider running.
