The International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) seeks a new Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for their journal Sports Engineering. The journal is published by Springer.
The success applicant will begin their transition period to becoming EiC from 1st June 2026. During this period, they will handle all new submissions, with support and guidance from the current EiC. They will officially start as EiC on 1st Jan. 2027.
The EiC tenure will be for a period of four years, with opportunity to renew based on performance. The current EiC receives an annual stipend and operational budget. They manage a team of Associate Editors and an Editorial Board. Applicants are expected to outline their plans for the journal in their application and upon successful appointment to manage annual budget with the ISEA Directors.

The cover letter should outline the applicant’s suitability for the role, their plans for the journal and expected support package. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview in April 2026.
